My mom gave me a uniquely colored purple glass vase sometime ago. Lavender lilacs seemed like the perfect compliment for such a pretty color and luckily dogwood were in bloom at the same time. It sure was a challenge simplifying all the petals and leaves but squinting is the key to minimizing unnecessary details.
